Intertwining couples and singles in Los Angeles break-up and make-up based on the pressures and expectations of Valentine’s Day.
February 14th, Valentines Day, is not a national holiday, but it is one of those days that must be celebrated. There are "special someones" in your life who expect to receive romantic gifts from their lovers. Commercialism has put a tremendous amount of pressure on men to give their lovers a romantic day with all the trimmings. Women are under pressure to have a man, or they feel desperate and unloved. Valentines Day follows the lives of several couples during this day. Their stories are told through the interconnections they have with each other. Some will find romance in their relationship, and others will feel the heartbreak of ending a relationship. My Name Is Khan (Hindi: माय नेम इज़ ख़ान) is a 2010 Bollywood film directed by Karan Johar, with a screenplay by Shibani Bathija, produced by Hiroo Yash Johar and Gauri Khan, and starring Shahrukh Khan and Kajol.[3][4] It is overseen by both Dharma Productions and Red Chillies Entertainment and will be distributed by FOX Star Entertainment.[5] Cinematography is by Ravi K. Chandran, Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy composed the film's score, choreography is by Farah Khan, and lyrics were written by Niranjan Iyengar.[6] Visual Effects are by Red Chillies VFX.
My Name is Khan debuted in Abu Dhabi, UAE on 10 February 2010.[7] It released globally in theaters on 12 February 2010.[1] It will also be screened as part of the 60th Berlin International Film Festival's Official Selection that same month.[8] In the months leading up to its release, the film has also been involved in some controversy related to international airport security and Indian politics.
Upon release, the film broke box office records for an Indian film all over the world. It grossed the highest opening weekend and opening day overseas for a Bollywood film. It became tied with the grosses of 3 idiots making them both to have the highest grossing opening weekend in bollywood cinema. In India, the film performed well initially in its first weekend, but grossed poorly later.
